Amy Barge

Certified Professional Dog Trainer

I began my dog training journey in 2010 when I began volunteering at the Humane Society of Missouri. Many dogs that are surrendered to shelters have behavior struggles due to a lack of training. These can often be solved with just a little work and patience.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. I completed Animal Behavior College’s Dog Trainer program in 2012 and have since completed Absolute Dog’s Pro Dog Trainer Program to become a Games-Based Dog Trainer.

When I initially started out, I taught group classes but felt like I could teach more than just the basic obedience cues. In 2013, I started Happy Pups Dog Training to work with clients individually. I enjoy doing one-to-one training so I can give each client and their dog(s) personal attention and tailor a training program to their individual needs.

I have experience with various breeds, ages, and temperaments and enjoy working with a variety of dogs and their people.
